This just posted on Budget Travel's email newsletter: Air France just announced that passengers can now stop over in Paris for FREE on all flights to Europe, Middle East, India, or Africa. The Paris break comes at no additional charge regardless which direction you're flying, what class ticket you bought, or how much (or little) you paid. There's no maximum or minimum stay requirement (other than the one associated with the ticket itself) and you can even take advantage of the stopover option with tickets that have already been purchased.

Lavprisekspressen (long distance bus routes) offers tickets between Oslo and Trondheim, Oslo - Kristiansand - Stavanger 49 NOK (which is a little over 6 euros). The offer is not time limited, but you have to book and pay online in advance, and you have to book early for a better chance on the cheapest tickets. The bus doesn't stop at stops where noone has booked tickets, so you have to book at least 2 hours prior to the departure. Prices vary depending on how early you book and how many seats are available, but the more expensive tickets are not really expensive eighter :) The busses are very modern and very comfortable double deckers. I recommend it to anybody who are looking for a cheap form of transportation to and from Oslo to "nearby" cities in Norway

There is a drawback, the website is in Norwegian. But it is very universal in its design so I reckon most people will be able to find their way around it. You can go with local transportation, but it's much slower and brings you only to busstations.. I love the comfort of the car. It brings us right to our hotel and to the places I want to visit. Especially if you travel with 2-4 people, it's the best way to get around and not much more expensive then local transport.

If they have a vacancy then three days of stay is guaranteed for you, after that you have to check with them if still they can extend your stay. They have hostels in Dubai, Sharjah, Fujeirah and Kourfakkan. The price for one night per person is about $20 or even less in some hostels. You have to contact them by phone and fax and make sure that you have a confirmed place before coming to Dubai.
