Oslo to Gotenburg and Copenhagen for 6 euro Posted on: Wed July 25 23:30:11 2007 UTC Lavprisekspressen (long distance bus routes) offers tickets between Oslo and Trondheim, Oslo and Bergen, Oslo and Kristiansand, Oslo through Gotenburg to Copenhagen from 49 NOK (which is a little over 6 euros). The offer is not time limited, but you have to book and pay online in advance, and you have to book early for a better chance on the cheapest tickets. The bus doesn't stop at stops where noone has booked tickets, so you have to book at least 2 hours prior to the departure. Prices vary depending on how early you book and how many seats are available, but the more expensive tickets are not really expensive eighter :) The busses are very modern and very comfortable double deckers. I recommend it to anybody who are looking for a cheap form of transportation from Oslo to "nearby" cities in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
Check out the website for schedules and reservations. There is a drawback, the website is in Norwegian. But it is very universal in its design so I reckon most people will be able to find their way around it. I tried to put inn an extensive translation from Norwegian to English here but I wasn't allowed to use more than 2000 charaters. So I posted it as 2 comments below. Enjoy :) Travel Between: Mon January 01, 2007 - Fri December 31, 2010 More info: https://lavprisekspressen.no/ Comment on this Deal |

The rest of the translation:
On the top you can change the number of travelers (Se translation above). If you have chosen a return ticket you get 2 timetables, if not you get one (of course). So: "Avreise" means Departuring trip, and Hjemreise means return trip. Each of these timetables has these columns. "Avgang" means departure time "Ankomst" means arrival time "Full fleks" means full flex ticket that can be changed "Lavpris" means low price fare that cannot be changed Below each table are buttons for previous day (Dagen før) and next day (Neste dag) Click "Fortsett bestilling" to move on, og "Forrige" to return to the previous page. This is where you fill in the passenger information: "Passasjer(er)" means Passenger(s) "Fornavn" means first name "Etternavn" means last name "Billettype" means ticket type "Rullestol" means wheelchair (wheelchair passengers must contact the bus company on phone +47 67980489 at least 5 days in advance to confirm availability of wheelchair seats) "Bagasje" means Luggage "Ekstra bagasje tur" means extra luggage on departing trip (2 pieces/50 kilos are included) "Ekstra bagasje retur" means extra luggage on return trip (2 pieces/50 kilos are included) "Kontakt" means Contact info "Telefon" means phonenumber "E-post" means e-mail Click the orange button again to proceed to payment "Betaling" means Payment "Betalingsform" means cardtype "Kortnummer" means cardnumber "Utløpsdato (mm/åå)" means Expiry date (MM/YY) "Sikkerhetskode (CVC )" means Security (CVC) number from your signature field "Jeg har lest og godtatt reisevilkårene" means I have read and approve the terms of the service... Which you just have to do if you want the ticket :) Click the orange "Betal" button to go ahead and pay. Bring the printout of the ticket, the email ticket or the reservation number and ID to the busstop. Have a nice trip :) | SailorRoar | ||||
