When you choose to go on vacation in Interlaken in order to explore ALL of the most beautiful places of that area, the so-called "REGIONALPASS BERNER OBERLAND" is certainly the best pre-paid train-ticket in case that you intend to TAKE ALL OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE COGWHEEL-TRAINS and cablecars in the area around Grindelwald, Wengen, Muerren, Lauterbrunnen, Brienz, Interlaken etc.
The "Regionalpass Berner Oberland" is valid for 7 (224,-sfr) or for 15 days (270,-sfr) and during 3 or 5 of these days you may use the ticket for UNLIMITED travels, (only for Jungfraujoch you pay 50 sfr extra and for Schilthorn 30 sfr extra.)
These tickets are for 7/15 consecutive days, BUT you may choose any 3 (or 5)of these days for unlimited travels by yourself - you simply stamp your ticket at any trainstation into a machine on these days and take any train you like.
During the rest of the days you pay half of the ordinary prices.
This ticket includes also all trains, the bus and ships around Brienzersee and Thunersee, trains even till Brig, Lenk i.S., Adelboden, Meiringen, Gstaad and halfprice all days to Zermatt, Luzern, Bern etc... It includes also Brienzer Rothorn and Stockhorn.

I had this ticket with 7 days and could save a lot of money, although I had only 3 days with excellent weather.For a return-ticket Lauterbrunnen-Bern I payed just 25 sfr. extra (=50%)
