National Express East Coast has just slashed train fares between London and York to as low as £8 per person, each way. You?ll need to travel off-peak to take advantage, but fares are available to book right through until 11 July.

In addition to the London to York route, you can find also the following, available to book each way:

York to Newcastle ? £6
London to Leeds ? £8

You?ll need to book at least 7 days in advance of travel, during off-peak hours only (with limited availability on Fridays and Sundays). Fares will appear as 'NXEC Standard Class Promotion'

First class fares are available from £15pp
