Comments About This Deal:
Nobody wants to see advertising just legitimate good deals.
smerlon

Sorry my friend, this is not advertising !!

Agreed that for some people, it is not. But it is
a deal for the hotel from the regular rack rate, and
there are those who look for 4-5 star hotels, while
others look for basic tourist hotels.

We are Hilton Honors Members and also members in the
Wyndham and Marriott International Resorts.

We have paid $350 per night for a room, flown to London
Upper Class from Boston at $3900.00, just to name a few
of the more expensive trips.

So as you can see, NOT EVERYONE takes the cheapest means
of travel or hotels. Granted, there are those who can only
afford budget flights and hotels, but also those who travel
nothing but 1st class all the way - air and hotels.

Bottom line, what is expensive to some, is a deal to others.
Hope that explains why we also post expensive deals ....

Jetgirly,

If you would take a minute and read it before running
your big mouth, you would see the following:
#1 - It was posted in May 2006
#2 - Valid Wed. July 05, 2006 / Wed December 27, 2006

I don't know who you are, never met you, never talked to
you, and never care to meet or talk to you ....

My wife and I are sick of your obnoxious and sarcastic
comments that you leave on our deals postings, and I
suggest that you back off, and get off my case, our I will
turn you in for abuse, and I will do that.

Other members have asked you to back off, but you ignor
them also.

If you have better deals, "POST THEM", very simple !!

Back off and get a life, you are an obnoxious person ....

Copy of this to a VT Moderator ....

Actually, the rate you have posted is the standard fare available year-round on the official hotel website. I personally don't think that fits that definition of a time-limited special offer.

Thank you for your last reply as it just
goes to prove my point that you just do
not have a life, that you have a need to
continue on with your childish way.

And you "claim" to be a teacher?? In what??
Sarcasm and being obnoxious ....

Your sarcasm toward our postings is getting
to be "really childish", and you seem to have
a need to continue on with your obnoxious and
sarcastic remarks on our postings to keep you
going here on VT.

Go find someone elses postings to criticize,
maybe you'll feel better ....

This is our last comments to you, because you
are not worth the time or effort to reply to.

AGAIN .........

IF YOU HAVE BETTER DEALS ON THE SAME ITEMS WE
POST .... POST IT, DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT OURS

One of VT's advertisers, Asiarooms.com, has the exact same rate (US $133) for as many nights as you like. Therefore the 5 night package posted is really not a big deal.
This also happens to be one of the most popular hotels in Hong Kong as it's literally right on the harbor. If you want 5 star luxury in Hong Kong, you can usually get it for less than $150 per night since there is so much competition.

I tend to believe that people who usually stay in 5 star hotels usually don't utilize "VT deals" to find the best deal. I had always assumed that most tourists using VT deals are trying to find outstanding bargains on good hotels; featuring special rates that are hard to find. (By outstanding I don't mean the mere inclusion of an American breakfast, by the way.)

I don't know how to break this to you Confucius, but
when I went to school, I learned the following:
Asiarooms is: $133.00 x 5 = $665.00
My deal is: $655.00 plus has breakfast ....
So how are they as you put it, "the exact same rate" ??

Therefor, my deal is a better one than Asiarooms offers,
and also offers a full American breakfast with it, so I
suggest you double check your abacus before posting a false
statement as you did here !!

There is a VT member whose has several deals posted that dont follow VT guidelines. Also, are you allowed to post links to your TIPS on a VT deal page... Perhaps, "check out my great page from blah blah blah to find info"

Ladies and Gentlemen...The purpose of the comments is to discuss the value, validity, level of a deal. Discussion of the deal and its merits is perfectly OK. Personal insults and attacks, however, will not be tolerated. It's fine to disagree, and it's fine to question things, but the buck stops at personal insults. Please keep that in mind.

Al_Mary thank you for all the hard work you do here on VT. No one works harder to get laods of deals on here and you are greatly appreciated by zillions of us on VT.

As for Asia Rooms....

People, do not rely on Asia Rooms. They cancel reservations once their quota of rooms at that price go. And they do not email you! They cancelled twice on 2 hotles on me on my last trip.

They are good for research.
